TCM for Bell's Palsy (Distant Learning) (dist-bellspalsy0425)

Description

Recorded on April 11, 2025

Dr. Kim Peirano, L.Ac. shares some of her 15+ years of acupuncture knowledge in using traditional Chinese medicine for the treatment of Bell's Palsy. This 4 CEU/PDA course will discuss the mechanism of action behind the pathology and treatment which can ensure a more committed patient and better treatment outcomes.

Bell's Palsy isn't just a dysfunction of the physical body and nerves, for most of it is a huge disruption to life when the patient has lost sight of themselves and their needs through a period of extreme stress. This course will look at not only the biomechanical aspects of Bell’s Palsy, the Chinese medicine treatment options and diagnoses, but also the mental, emotional and spiritual aspects that occur with such a diagnosis. Knowing this information can help your patients heal more thoroughly, or even experience a chronic case in a new light.

At the end of the course, you will have learned

  • Differential Diagnosis for Bell’s Palsy (western and Chinese)
  • Overview of anatomy involved
  • Red Flags
  • Acupuncture specific treatment protocol and multi-needle technique
  • A spirit - mind - body approach to facial paralysis
  • Supplements and herbal considerations
  • Contraindications and healing timeline

This course was recorded live by Mayway on April 11, 2025.
