In the eighth and final class, we will take an in-depth look at the most frequently used herbs within the Open Orifices and Extinguish Wind & Tremor category. The review will include graphs comparing individual herb functions, thermal properties, entering meridians and best use for each herb. Discussion will include examples of specific applications of herbs within the category, and common Dui Yao combinations used frequently in classic herbal prescriptions. At the end of the class, a detailed case study will be presented and afford the students an opportunity to participate in both the development of a treatment principle and the selection of herbs for the final custom prescription.
