In the fourth class we will take an in-depth look at the most frequently used herbs within the Stop cough & Wheezing, Regulate Qi, and Regulate Blood categories. The review will include graphs comparing individual herb functions, thermal properties, entering meridians and best use for each herb. Discussion will include examples of specific applications of herbs within the category, and common Dui Yao combinations used frequently in classic herbal prescriptions. Brief case studies will also be used to highlight specific functions of herbs. Student questions will be answered when presented. A detailed case study will be presented at the end of this class to highlight course materials learned up to this point.
